This is my fist time using a scientfic article for an english paper. I never have though of or used one, but it seems as it will be helpful. The scientfic research is true facts and evidence vs an opionated artcile. Jamison takes observational research in her article allowing readers to trully get a grip on what she is saying. It comes of more factual and offical. The stregth of my article, “Medical students’ empathy positively predicts charitable donation behavior” by Karen E. Smith, Greg J. Norman, and Jean Decety explains how emapthy and the effects it has on prosocial acts changes as students progress through medical school. One weakness, I guess for me, is I find scientific articles a lot more challneging to comprehend. But for this article I read I very much an a visual learened so the graph provided to show the reuslts translated well for me. Jamison was a little less of a functional scientific article vs the one I read. I think Jamison used scientific article formula for her acticle because she saw it as a medical paper and that it would better be understood by people and even taken more seriously as a scientific article. When I hear there is a scientific article about a medical disease, it tends to be taken more seriously. Jamison was better able to get her point’s across by using the sections.
