I chose to usep my final draft of paper 3 and my revised version for the podcast. I think this showed an extreme use of revision being able to turn a five page paper into a script for a podcast. I worked to pull out what I though were the strongest points from the paper. For completing this revision I did a mix of pulling out full sentence structure, bullet points to expand o points, as well as direct quotes from my sources. I think the biggest challenge while doing this was trying not to read directly from my paper. I took out chunks of my paper but tried to build of of these parts as well as encorporate question into the specific parts. Finding those certain parts of the paper was important because I needed parts that helped me encorporate questions. Paper 3 talked about the effects of empathy and the importance. When it comes to the importance this is definetly a more opinionated view. I shared my opinion of importance in my paper and tried to transfer my opion into vocals on the podcast. I wrote a lot in the paper about how I view empathy as an important factor, but in the revised paper I just wrote “Explain my opinion of empathy- In my eyes empathy can be used as a helpful and supportive tool.” I took this simple sentcne and grew upon it by talking and adding more of how it can be helpful in my podcast while in my paper I wrote a few sentcnces about my opinion. Through this course I feel I have improved greatly on making global and local revisions. I know this revised paper is a little bit different that just using a first and final draft so I couldn’t really show all my revisions. I think doing this type of revision as well as first to final draft is beeficial and helped me grow to imorove my writing.
